Our Team

Marissa Maciej-Hulme

BSc MRes PhD

Marie Curie Fellow, Oslo Metropolitan University

Marissa is curious about proteoglycans and their multiple roles in biology. Her research aims to develop advanced tools and methods focused on proteoglycans to understand their structural details in relation to their function(s), illuminating their roles in human health and disease.

Milka Girmay Gebremichael

BSc Pharmacy

Milka is a Masters student in Pharmacy at OsloMet studying the interactions of Herceptin (Trastuzumab) with Her2 and proteoglycans.

Vebjørn Brændshøi

BSc Biosciences

Vebjørn is a Masters student at the University of Oslo creating CRISPR edited proteoglycan cell models to investigate proteoglycan structure:function relationships in breast cancer.

Victoria Le

BSc Biosciences

Victoria is a Masters student at the University of Oslo creating CRISPR edited proteoglycan cell models to investigate proteoglycan structure:function relationships in lung cancer.

Collaborators

Professor, Oslo Metropolitan University

Niclas is a glycobiologist interested in N- and O-glycomics for human health, particularly of osteoarthritis. He is collaborating on the integration of GAGomics with N- and O-glycomics for multi-glycomic analyses from a single sample.

Professor, Soka University

Kiyoko is a computer scientist collaborating on the development of infomatics infrastructure to generate an online, open access database for proteoglycan structures.

Professor, University of Oslo

Kristian has a long standing interest in proteoglycans and the Golgi apparatus. He is collaborating on the development of precise proteoglycan structures to unpick their function(s).
